Overview
RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) card locks use 13.56MHz chip cards; the reader and card communicate by radio frequency. Unlike first-generation magnetic stripe locks, the chip inside makes contact unnecessary, prevents wear, and enables encryption far beyond magnetic stripes.
Mifare is the most widely adopted card platform in hospitality: S50/S70 chips are mature and affordable, with complete ecosystems of encoders, issuing software and PMS interfaces. This is why "hotel RFID door lock" dominates procurement searches: it is effectively the de facto standard for new builds.
The value goes beyond opening doors: one card can hold elevator floor authorization, restaurant charges, access control and locker applications, achieving true one-card operation and improving guest experience.
Core Capabilities
Anti-Copy Encryption
Challenge-response authentication with configurable, rotatable keys; Mifare Plus/DESFire security levels supported.
